At RTC, we often engage in conversations with clients about our insurance policies. A frequent and important question we encounter is, "Why don't you accept certain insurances?" This question merits a detailed response, as our approach is thoughtfully designed to balance quality care with practical insurance realities.
Embracing a Hybrid Model: The Best of Both Worlds
Our clinic operates on a hybrid model, accepting certain insurances based on their alignment with our standards of care. Here's what you should know about this model:
Selective Insurance Acceptance: We accept insurance plans that align with our commitment to provide quality, one-on-one care. This usually includes PPOs and other insurance types that offer reasonable reimbursements, allowing us to not only maintain, but elevate the level of care we aspire to provide by hiring only the most experienced and highly qualified therapists in the area.
Declining Certain Insurances: Unfortunately, many insurance companies, usually HMOs, and similar insurance plans do not support the high standard of one-on-one care that is our hallmark. These plans often undervalue individualized attention, preferring a model where a physical therapist manages multiple patients simultaneously. Additionally, much of our time that could be used in providing quality care to our patients is focused on unnecessary paperwork that has nothing to do with the treatment we provide. To maintain our quality of care, we opt not to accept these insurances.
Why Our Model Benefits You: Personalized, One-on-One Care
Focused Sessions: Whether your insurance is accepted or not, our commitment to one-on-one sessions remains unwavering. This approach ensures that you receive personalized attention, leading to more effective and efficient treatment.
Efficient Recovery Process: With our dedicated care, many clients find that they achieve their health goals faster, reducing the overall number of sessions needed.
For Non-Covered Services: Understanding Your Options
Fee-for-Service for Non-Covered Insurances: For clients whose insurance we cannot accept, we operate on a fee-for-service basis. This decision is crucial in maintaining the level of personalized care we believe is essential for effective therapy. We are pleased to inform our clients that we gladly accept Health Savings Account (HSA) payments, offering a flexible and convenient option for those seeking our services.
Assistance with Insurance Claims: We provide detailed receipts complete with necessary coding for clients to submit self-claims to their insurance providers. Many of our clients are successful in receiving partial reimbursement or having our fees applied towards their deductibles.
Our Philosophy: Quality Over Quantity
Our decision to operate as a hybrid clinic stems from our commitment to quality over quantity. We choose to accept only those insurances that allow us to maintain our high standards of patient care. This philosophy might not fit every potential client, but it ensures that we remain true to our mission of providing exceptional, personalized therapy services.
We strive to offer the best possible care in Virginia Beach by balancing the practicalities of insurance with our unwavering commitment to personalized therapy. Our hybrid model is designed to meet the needs of our clients who value quality care while navigating the complexities of insurance coverage. We are here to support you through your journey to recovery with a model that puts your health and well-being first.
